Work and work and ...... more work.

Life's so busy now I hardly have the leisure time to do my usual blog hopping anymore, let alone updating my own =(

I really really miss schooling!! Together with all the familiar faces is really great! Besides that, there are also self-proclaimed "holidays" which I DO NOT have now.

DUH :(

To be honest, I don't exactly enjoy working life you know. Because when you're working, there're strictly no craps, especially for me. (multi tasking is mission impossible for me)
Dealing with few hundred thousands' definitely no joke.

Now you see why huh....

Anyway, met up with the 01s last week and the gathering really made my day!
So nice to crapcrap X 123147567489 and laugh until my stomach hurts. They made me really miss going back to school lah! Oh my...

Now I know that the grass will always be greener on the other side and you will never be contented with whatever you have! (or perhaps only me)

When I'm schooling i always thought mugging times sucks and it would be better off working.

When I'm finally working, I think back and thought hey, schooling's so much better! (except for money matters)

Oh well..

Hope that there will be more meet-ups with the 01s again (with the regulars heh heh)
So jiaqi, organise again eh! =D LOVEE meeting up with friends and chat about everything and anything, there's just so much to share, so much joy! :)

I came across this story today and I found it quite interesting,
so let me share it with you, if you haven't already know.

One winter day, there was a (stupid) bird flying in the sky.
It was freezing cold but it continued to fly and very soon it got frozen.
So it fell to a grassland and laid there, still frozen.
After lying there for awhile, a smelly cow walked past and dropped a huge pile of dung on it.
Covered with the cow's dung, the bird actually felt warm cuz that piece of shit was thawing it!
As the cow's dung was thawing the bird, it was elated and started singing very loudly.
Having heard the singing of the bird, a cat came along and eagerly cleared the shit away from the tiny bird and.......................

So what's the moral of the story?


1) The person who shits on you may be your friend.
2) The person who got you out of shit may not be your friend.

Wonder if you've heard this story before as well;

An admin assistant, sales rep and their boss was heading out for lunch one day when they came across a myterious lamp.

Upon rubbing the lamp a genie appeared who stated "I am the most powerful genie in the world. Because I am so powerful, I can grant you any wish you want, but only one wish each."

So the admin assistant shouted eagerly, "ME FIRST! ME FIRST! PICK ME!"

"So what's your wish?" said the Genie.

"I want to lie at the beach forever with all the hunks surrounding me! oh and with endless supply of the most awesome wine in the universe as well!!!" and POOF! the admin assistant was gone.

"I want a beautiful mansion in romantic Paris with the most stunning woman on earth!" POOF! the sales rep was gone.

Life is fragile

An incident recently reminded me of the fact that life is really fragile, you will never know when your love ones may just leave you.

So we should cherish every single one around us, especially our family members..

I really feel sad for my friend and I pray that he'll be able to stay strong through this period.


Go tell your parents you love them now!

Live life to the fullest everyday and I believe every "tomorrow" will be a better day!

Chinese New Year 2008

This year's Lunar New Year was a little different from the previous years cuz we stayed at Grandpa's place til about evening before we decided to get our bums off for our next destination.

So everything was pushed back and the visiting from house to house ended at late night!
Even continued on 初三 when maternal side visitings usually end on first day.
Nevertheless, it was still fun :)

Day One: 初一

I really like this hokkien speaking nephew here!

I love hearing him speak to his mommy in hokkien with his baby voice,
TOO CUTE TO RESIST!

Sometimes I miss the good old days where all of my cousins would gather every weekends playing 'block-catching', 'blind mice', 'lift-catching', 'spiderman' etc..
So many of our self invented games, it's impossible to list all down!

Everything seemed so much fun when I was younger,
because just a 25cents popsicle would make me go gaga after all the sweaty Catching games.
So easily satisfied with life eh?
Being a kid is always better!

Now that we've all grown up, big gatherings only happen on CNY and on Grandpa's birthday.
The distance inevitably grew so huge, no one could see it anymore.

But anywayyyyy, the family is getting BIGGER! as you can see why. =)

Didn't gamble on 初一, saved it all for 初三 cuz we still had some more visitings to go. So that's about it for the first day, just visiting most of my relatives' places and stuffed myself silly with all the new year goodies =)


Day two: 初二

My paternal side cousins do not spell F-U-N and all of us are not close with each other.
That's why.

I was literally bored to tears almost every New Year spent there.
Sis will be sleeping and bro will go off early to meet his friends. Couldn't meet dy cuz he's busy over at his grandpa's place!
Luckily I had DS as my companion...
So so so so damn bored that I played 4 hours straight of DS until the batt was off
Enough said.

When it was finally night time we headed to Marina for dinner.

Day Three: 初三

YAYNESS because it's off to the maternal side again!
DS was not an essential companion of that day =)

Love this dress I bought,
you'll be seeing me in this very often. =D

I hate the braces! Oh well. Another 6 more months. =(

The girls just gathered round and talked about everything and anything.
Something we don't have time for everyday, so it's an enjoyment really.

Gambled like siao at Ling's place (and i also lost like siao) with all the screams
Everyone was purely enjoying themselves, including me of course!
All my uncles and aunties screaming with us as well!
One word; FUN. Woohoo! =D

They were so excited when they saw the bubbles, with Jayden constantly going "bubble bubble bubble!!!" and proceeded to burst them haha.

I was secretly amazed by the bubble gun as well, LIKE SO FUN MAN!

Had a belated Birthday celebration at Lawry's with my beloved lover on new year too!

and they were nice enough to give me this strawberry cake!
It was on the house and we still had a 30% discount off the total bill. Cool.

The cake is really delicious by the way :)

BECAUSE IT'S 3.75 THIS SEM WITH FYP SCORING AN A!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy because I've really put in the effort for this exams as well as my FYP (though I spent quite an amount of time complaining about it)

THIS IS WELL WORTH IT!


Now I finally know the sense of achievement!

Well anyway, I just went to sign my agreement forms with UOB and I'll be commercing work the week after next! = no more sleeping in late and go shopping whenever I feel like it :(

Awwwww. How sad is that. But that's life! Just hope that I will meet super fun and nice collegues!

Bought myself a pair of heels and a dress today! This definitely doubled the happiness of mine today heh heh heh :D




And I'm feeling like this now =)
